Manchester City is seeking a Safety and Security professional to lead safety operations for matches and events at the Etihad Campus and City Football Academy. Based at the Etihad Campus in Manchester, these permanent, full-time roles will help lead the safe and secure delivery of matchdays and events across the Etihad Campus and, where required, the City Football Academy. You will play a central role in protecting spectators, colleagues, players and visitors while helping Manchester City deliver welcoming, well-managed experiences that meet the highest standards of safety, security and compliance. Event and matchday working, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, will be required when needed.

Our Safety and Security team supports the safe operation of the Etihad Campus and City Football Academy across matchdays, events and day-to-day activity. Working with colleagues across Manchester City, the team helps create an environment where people can enjoy football and other events with confidence, while ensuring operational decisions are well planned, compliant and responsive to changing circumstances.
Reporting to the Head of Safety and Security, you will help plan, manage and assure safety and security operations for fixtures and events at the Etihad Stadium and, where required, the Joie Stadium. Acting as a Safety Officer or Deputy Safety Officer when needed, you will make practical operational decisions that help protect everyone on site and support a positive experience for spectators, staff and event partners.
You will work with the Head of Safety and Security and other Safety and Security Managers to assess risk, prepare operational orders, event briefings and risk assessments, and ensure arrangements meet the General Safety Certificate, relevant legislation, guidance and Club policies. You will also support event resource planning, including the recruitment, training, deployment and welfare of employees, casual workers and agency personnel.
The role involves close collaboration with teams across the Campus and, where appropriate, external partners so that safety and security arrangements are joined up and delivered consistently. You will contribute to a positive safeguarding culture, ensuring concerns relating to children, vulnerable adults, women and girls are escalated promptly and managed in line with Club policies and statutory guidance.
