Job summary

MBDA is offering a 1-year placement in the Safety and Reliability Department in the United Kingdom. The role provides hands-on experience across the product lifecycle, with a hybrid working pattern (2–3 days on-site) and a BPSS clearance requirement.

The successful candidate will develop expertise in Safety and Reliability Engineering for defence projects, supporting design teams and learning through diverse activities, from concept to customer delivery.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate working towards a degree in Engineering (incl. Aeronautical/Aerospace, Electrical/Electronic, Systems and safety), Physics or Astronomy discipline.
• All MBDA employees are required to hold UK Security or BPSS Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop a specialist background in Safety and Reliability Engineering within the Defence sector.
• Experience and support product development across the different phases; from product conception through testing and trials to manufacture and customer delivery.
• Experience of Safety and Reliability Engineering techniques and best practice (e.g., Hazard Analysis, FMECA, FTA, Safety or Reliability Case Reports).
