Job summary

Scotsman Hospitality Group in Scotland is seeking enthusiastic Safety Hosts to ensure the safety and comfort of guests and staff across our venues. You will greet guests, monitor entrances, respond to incidents, and support a secure, welcoming atmosphere.

The role requires vigilant, professional conduct, strong communication skills, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and late shifts. Training in health and safety is provided, with first aid certification a plus, and staff benefits

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in a similar role preferred
• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations
• First Aid Certification is a plus, training can be arranged

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and monitor entrances to ensure safe flow
• Maintain a visible floor presence and respond to incidents
• Monitor venue capacity and enforce safety regulations
• Assist with crowd management and handle disruptions calmly
• Conduct routine safety checks and liaise with management and emergency services
• Provide first aid assistance when required (training provided)
• Answer guest queries and support the overall customer service

Job Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic and responsible Safety Hosts to join our dynamic team. As a Safety Host, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our guests and staff, creating a secure and enjoyable atmosphere across our venues. You'll act as the first point of contact for guests, providing a welcoming and professional experience while maintaining a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and monitor the entrance and exit points to ensure a safe flow of people.
• Maintain a visible presence on the floor, responding to incidents, concerns, and emergencies.
• Monitor venue capacity and enforce safety regulations.
• Assist in crowd management and intervene in any disruptive behavior with a calm and professional demeanor.
• Conduct routine safety checks around the venue, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Liaise with management, security personnel, and emergency services when necessary.
• Provide first aid assistance when required (training will be provided).
• Handle guest queries and support the overall customer experience by offering friendly and attentive service.

Requirements

• 2 years experience within a similar role would be preferred
• A calm and professional attitude, with the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain vigilant and proactive in ensuring guest and staff safety.
• Availability to work shifts, including late nights and weekends as per business needs
• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations (training will be provided).
• First Aid Certification is a plus, but training can be arranged.
• Must be flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
