Job summary

Assured Safety Recruitment seeks a proactive Safety, Health & Environment Manager for a Watford site. You will lead health, safety and environmental matters, shaping culture and driving improvement while ensuring compliance.

Working with senior leaders, you’ll embed best practice, deliver training, and manage audits and investigations to support business objectives and safer operations.

• NEBOSH qualification or equivalent must have.
• Experience in manufacturing/engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead site HSE strategy and day-to-day activities.

Assured Safety Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a successful and growing business in the Watford area to recruit a Safety, Health & Environment Manager. Working closely with senior leaders, you'll take the lead on all Health, Safety and Environmental matters, helping to ensure the business remains compliant while creating a positive and proactive safety culture.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading the site's Health, Safety and Environmental strategy and day-to-day activities.
• Maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Working with managers and employees to embed a positive safety culture.
• Providing practical advice and guidance across the business.
• Delivering engaging training, coaching and support to colleagues at all levels.
• Monitoring compliance with legislation and best practice, including PUWER, LOTO and related requirements.
• Leading audits, inspections, investigations and improvement initiatives.
• Partnering with the Senior Leadership Team to achieve HSE objectives and drive business improvement.

What We're Looking For

• Experience within manufacturing, engineering, logistics or a similar operational environment.
• NEBOSH Certificate qualification.
• A hands-on and approachable style with excellent people skills.
• Someone who enjoys building relationships and influencing positive change.
• The ability to engage colleagues at all levels, from the shop floor through to senior management.
• A proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
