Job summary
PS Ltd is seeking a proactive Branch/Depot Maintenance Technician to oversee upkeep and operational efficiency of client facilities and depot areas. You will ensure spaces are clean, safe, and functional, supporting daily activities and maintaining equipment integrity.
The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, adherence to Health & Safety procedures, and the potential to operate a forklift if licensed. Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm, with a salary in the £26k-£27k range.
Qualifications
- Proactive and practical approach to maintenance tasks.
- Ability to organise workload and self-manage in a busy depot.
- Good awareness of Health & Safety procedures.
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting daily duties.
- Flexible for a variety of depot tasks.
Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the workshop and depot.
- Clean and maintain external areas including car park.
- Empty workshop bins and cleanse pits.
- Attend to spillages safely and promptly.
- Carry out general housekeeping and labouring tasks.
- Handle cleaning products and hazardous liquids safely.
- Operate a forklift truck where licensed.
- Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Wear appropriate PPE and follow safe practices.
- Assist with other depot duties as required.
