Job summary

MSA Safety is seeking a motivated installer to perform site-based installations and testing of height safety equipment, ensuring compliance with manufacturers' drawings and safety standards. You will complete clear paperwork and certificates for clients, and highlight any remedial work required.

The role supports the team to keep sites safe, and may involve DBS checks, driving duties, and ongoing training such as IPAF/PASMA.

Qualifications

• Clean driver’s licence.
• Ability to clear DBS/CRB/Scottish Disclosure.
• Comfortable working at height.
• Previous experience in a mobile, site-based role preferred.
• Good level of understanding of English and maths for basic admin tasks.
• IPAF training (not essential; can be attained during employment).
• PASMA training (not essential; can be attained during employment).

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the highest levels of site safety and customer service are adhered to at all times while carrying out site-based installations and testing and maintenance of site-based height safety equipment in accordance with manufacturers’ requirements and drawings provided.
• Providing detailed legible paperwork upon completion of new installations so that full manuals can be produced for the client. When carrying out inspections, the paperwork must detail the findings to allow client certificates to be produced, or a remedial quotation can be provided for any failures.
• Identifying any additional requirements for fall protection equipment or training at sites where activities are undertaken.
• Assisting the Team Leader or senior management with other duties required to run the business efficiently and contribute to the company’s profit objectives.
