Job summary

Balfour Beatty VINCI is seeking a Health and Safety Engagement Specialist to join our Midlands team supporting HS2 works at Fort Dunlop, Birmingham. You will promote observation reporting, engage with supply chain and the client to improve safety performance and climate surveys.

We value a proactive, professional approach, NEBOSH General or Construction certificate, and at least three years in health, safety or engagement roles.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years in health, safety, or engagement roles.
• Experience with safety campaigns and engagement initiatives.
• Experience reviewing risk assessments and safety policies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management required.

Responsibilities

• Promote observation reporting and proactive safety interventions to protect workforce and public.
• Communicate with and gather feedback from supply chain, Labour Desk, and HS2 client on safety performance and initiatives.
• Deliver and analyse climate surveys to identify opportunities for improved safety and engagement.
• Contribute to development and delivery of behavioural, engagement, training programmes and Safety Segments within project induction.
• Review risk assessments, method statements, policies and procedures for clarity and alignment with BBV standards.
