Job summary

Une entreprise innovante dans la gestion des déchets recrute un professionnel de la sécurité pour superviser et maintenir des normes élevées en matière de santé et de sécurité au sein de leur installation de valorisation énergétique. Vous jouerez un rôle clé dans la conformité et la gestion des risques tout en contribuant à un environnement de travail sécurisé et réglementé. Ce poste nécessite un leadership solide et une approche pragmatique dans la gestion de l'équipe et des processus.

Qualifications

• Professionnel de la sécurité avec expérience dans des environnements industriels.
• Expérience avec des installations de valorisation énergétique souhaitée.
• Connaissance des normes de gestion ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 et ISO 50001.

The company is at the forefront of waste management and resource recovery in the UK, operating the largest network of Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs). We play a crucial role in supporting the UK's climate goals by diverting waste from landfills and transforming it into valuable energy resources.

Key responsibilities:

• Management and monitoring of Health & Safety systems, procedures and safe systems of work at site level.
• Maintaining compliance with the company's management systems and support compliance with environmental permits or licenses.
• Implementing policy and procedure to deliver a highly compliant, quality led environment with safety at its core, you'll actively monitor, maintain and manage health and safety risks assessments, SSOW and method statements to ensure best practice and prevention of incidents and accidents.
• Working closely with the Plant Manager and site team, you'll support the development of the plant to maintain high productivity whilst ensuring a no compromise approach with regards to health, safety and environmental compliance at all times.

What are we looking for?

• A hands-on safety professional with experience in industrial settings.
• Experience of an energy from waste facility would be advantageous and preferable
• Relevant experience within a highly regulated and compliance focussed environment
• Strong leadership skills to lead and develop a new team in a start-up scenario with a no compromise approach to health, safety compliance.
• Able to work with the Management Team to embed a safety and compliance focussed culture within a complex workplace
• Experience of permitted/regulated activities and processes, preferably within controlled emissions environment
• Knowledge of the energy from waste/power industry inclusive of legislative knowledge
• IOSH/NEBOSH safety qualification (or equivalent)
• Awareness of the relevant management standards ISO 45001, ISO14001, ISO 9001 and ISO50001
• Full UK driving license
