Job summary

London Borough of Hounslow is recruiting a Training and Development Manager on a permanent, full-time basis (36 hours per week) with a salary of £52,194–£55,323 per annum. Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding, learning and development, workforce development or professional standards environments is highly valued.
• Ability to design and deliver high quality training to improve practice across children's services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning, coordination and evaluation of the interagency safeguarding training programme for Children's Specialist Services and partner agencies.
• Identify learning and development needs across the workforce and implement innovative training solutions.
• Deliver safeguarding training reflecting current legislation, research and best practice.
• Manage the workforce development budget with focus on value for money.
• Collaborate with agencies to shape workforce development priorities within the safeguarding partnership.
• Provide expert advice and support on safeguarding training to managers and practitioners.
• Facilitate in-house training and coordinate specialist practice expertise across the service.
