Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is recruiting a Social Work Team Manager for the Safeguarding Team in Wigston. The role is permanent and part-time at 30 hours per week, with flexible/hybrid working options.

You will lead a team comprising a senior practitioner, 3 social workers, 2 parenting assessment staff, and 2 supervision staff. You will allocate workloads, drive performance, and ensure high-quality safeguarding for children and families.

Qualifications

• Social Work degree or equivalent, approved by Social Work England.
• Experience in statutory childcare social work: Child in Need, safeguarding, child protection and care proceedings.
• Experience supervising staff and/or social work students.
• Experience using performance indicators to monitor and improve performance.
• Ability to analyse information under pressure and report to the Service Manager.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and quality delivery of services.
