An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our compassionate and forward-thinking team in Ealing.
We are looking for an experienced and adaptable safeguarding professional to take on a key leadership role in supporting and protecting people within our community. As Safeguarding Lead, you will be the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the Ealing service and will play a central role in strengthening our safeguarding culture and systems. You will work closely with the Senior Management Team to ensure consistent, high-quality safeguarding practice and oversight across the service.
You’ll lead on safeguarding work involving children and young people, and coordinate multi-agency processes including MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) and MARAC (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference). In addition, you’ll provide direct line management to four workers in our three specialist sub-teams who have high levels of safeguarding engagement:
The Young Adult Link Worker Team
The Family & Parenting Drug & Alcohol Team
The Family & Carers Team
Together, these teams provide essential frontline support and will benefit from your leadership and safeguarding expertise.
Reporting to the service's Partnership Lead your focus will be on embedding safeguarding into daily practice, supporting colleagues, and collaborating with external agencies. You’ll also contribute to cyclical audits and support the learning from safeguarding cases to help strengthen and evolve service delivery.
Full TIme Salary: £35,220.59 – £37,184.91 dependent on experience (pro rata for part time hours)
Allowances: £4,133.14 Inner London Weighting (pro rata for part time hours)Hours:37.5 per week (Full Time)

*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Serve as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the Ealing service.
Provide leadership and oversight of safeguarding for children, young people, and adults.
Act as lead contact for MASH and MARAC processes.
Line manage the Young Adult Link Worker Team, Family & Parenting Drug & Alcohol Team, and Family & Carers Team.
Embed safeguarding principles across all aspects of service delivery.
Provide guidance and support to staff and volunteers on safeguarding concerns and best practice.
Monitor and analyse safeguarding trends, sharing insights with the senior team.
Foster open, respectful communication about safeguarding with people accessing our support.
Work collaboratively with partner organisations to ensure robust safeguarding coordination.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policy, and good practice.
We’re looking for someone who brings:
Significant experience working with families or individuals affected by parental substance use or other complex needs.
A strong understanding of safeguarding systems and processes for children, young people, and adults.
Experience attending and contributing to multi-agency forums such as child protection conferences, MASH, MARAC, and strategy meetings.
Familiarity with the Mental Health Act and capacity principles.
Excellent communication skills – able to explain complex matters clearly and sensitively.
Confidence managing others and supporting professional development.
Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
A collaborative and compassionate approach to working with others.
