Job summary

Granville Academy, part of Affinity Learning Partnership, seeks an experienced Safeguarding Officer to support pupil wellbeing and safeguarding across the Academy. You will work closely with the Safeguarding Lead, provide guidance on referrals, maintain accurate records, and liaise with external agencies as needed.

You will also deliver emotional health support through one-to-one and group sessions, maintaining confidentiality and a calm, professional approach to safeguarding and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students experiencing emotional difficulties and challenging behaviours.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to coordinate safeguarding across the Academy.
• Provide advice and guidance when concerns are raised and ensure records are accurate and secure.
• Liaise with external agencies as required and contribute to safeguarding training.
• Offer emotional health support to pupils through one-to-one and targeted group sessions.
