Job summary

Northamptonshire Children's Trust is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead the Safeguarding Children's Social Care Team at Penrith Drive Children's Centre, Wellingborough. You will oversee day-to-day operations and ensure high-quality services for vulnerable children and families.

Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration and at least 3 years' post-qualification experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
• Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in Children's Social Care.
• Experience in leadership, safeguarding, and multi-agency collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Operational leadership of the Children's Social Care Team.
• Allocate and prioritise work; ensure statutory timescales are met.
• Recruit, supervise, and develop social workers and family support staff.
• Manage team budgets and resources; ensure value for money.
• Foster partnerships with Education, Health, Police, Early Help services and others.
• Drive performance, quality assurance, and service improvement.
• Ensure safeguarding compliance with relevant legislation and guidance.
