Job summary

Farnborough College of Technology is seeking a motivated Security Officer to join the Security and Safeguarding team on a full-time basis. You will patrol, monitor CCTV, control access and respond to incidents, ensuring the safety of staff and students.

The role requires an SIA licence for manned guarding, a valid driving licence, and a willingness to travel between college sites. Shifts are 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm, Monday to Friday, with a strong focus on customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in Security, preferably in an educational setting.
• Valid SIA license for manned guarding.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel between sites.
• First Aid qualification or willingness to undertake training.
• Team worker with excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols and CCTV operation.
• Manage access control and respond to incidents.
• Provide first aid response when needed.
• Porter furniture and goods between college sites.
• Maintain safety and welfare of students and staff.
• Assist in safeguarding and DBS compliance where required.

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, flexible and committed individual to join our Security and Safeguarding team at Farnborough College of Technology. Full Time (37 hours pw, shift pattern).

Main duties include regular patrols, CCTV operation, access control, responding to incidents, first aid response and porterage of furniture/goods. Candidates should have experience of working in Security, hold a current SIA license in manned guarding and ideally have worked with young people in some capacity.

Applicants must be a team worker with excellent customer service skills and also hold a valid driving license, as some travel between college sites will be required. They should also hold a First Aid Qualification or be willing to undertake first aid training.

The position includes splits shifts, 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm, Monday to Friday. Shift patterns to be explained further at interview.
