Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking an experienced social work leader to Head of Safeguarding & Quality Assurance at Clayfields House. You will drive safeguarding and QA, oversee reporting and policy development, and champion trauma-informed practice for vulnerable children aged 10-18 in a secure care setting.

Qualifications

Qualified social work practitioner with substantial safeguarding experience.
Experience with safeguarding and child protection practice.
Experience with quality assurance frameworks related to child protection.

Responsibilities

Lead safeguarding and quality assurance processes across the service.
Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure best practice.
Produce complex safeguarding and quality assurance reports and policy documents.
Support a trauma-informed, strength-based approach across the workforce.
Ensure timely notifications of significant events to regulators and stakeholders.
