Job summary

Sir Bernard Lovell Academy, part of the Futura Learning Partnership, is seeking a values-driven Safeguarding and Behaviour Officer to provide compassionate pastoral support while maintaining high standards of behaviour.

This role operates as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead within the Safeguarding Team and collaborates with staff, students, parents and external agencies to support pupils’ welfare and learning.

Qualifications

• Compassionate pastoral support balanced with a firm and fair approach to behaviour.
• Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead member of Safeguarding Team.
• Ability to liaise with staff, students, parents and external agencies to support welfare and learning.

Responsibilities

• Promote and reinforce safeguarding and behaviour policies.
• Support the Behaviour Manager to meet needs of individual students.
• Work with the DSL as part of the Safeguarding Team to ensure safeguarding is effective.
• Liaise with staff, students and parents to provide information, advice and guidance.
• Liaise with external agencies as required, including referrals.
