Job summary

Oxted School is seeking a dedicated Safeguarding Officer to join our safeguarding team and help ensure the safety and wellbeing of students. Working with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and safeguarding team, you will uphold safeguarding best practices across the school and monitor all safeguarding concerns with confidentiality.

You will assist in staff training on safeguarding matters, maintain accurate records, and liaise with external agencies as required, in line with GDPR and KCSIE

Qualifications

• GCSEs incl English and Maths (or equivalent).
• IT proficiency and strong communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidential safeguarding records.
• Experience in an educational environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safeguarding issues across the school and address concerns swiftly.
• Maintain safeguarding records and ensure policy compliance.
• Provide comprehensive overview and monitoring of safeguarding concerns.
• Provide feedback to pastoral teams and the DSL as required.
• Liaise with school counsellors and external services.
