Job summary

Repton School is seeking a Safeguarding Compliance Officer to join the Deputy DSL team and manage safeguarding administration daily. The role supports the Designated Safeguarding Lead, SMT and external agencies to promote a safe environment for pupils, staff, volunteers and visitors.

As a non-teaching position, you will coordinate safeguarding across the school, with emphasis on policy compliance and best practice, including attendance processes and safeguarding records.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding or compliance within education or a similar setting.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and attendance processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality.
• Strong administrative and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote safeguarding culture across the school in collaboration with colleagues to ensure welfare of children.
• Support the DSL to coordinate safeguarding and child protection matters and assist staff with concerns.
• Occasional attendance at evening meetings or training may be required.
