Ernulf Academy is seeking an experienced Safeguarding Manager to lead welfare, safety and wellbeing for scholars. You will work with the DSL, senior leaders, agencies and families to ensure robust safeguarding practices, promote a strong safeguarding culture, and remove barriers to attendance and achievement.

The role suits a resilient, compassionate professional who is highly organised and dedicated to ensuring every pupil receives the support they need to succeed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in safeguarding and child protection.
• Experience collaborating with external agencies to support pupils.
• Strong organisational, data handling, and analytical skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing of all scholars.

Responsabilités

• Lead safeguarding and child protection processes—manage concerns, referrals and records.
• Support vulnerable scholars and families—work with children, families and external agencies.
• Manage safeguarding records and reporting—maintain confidential records and provide updates to leaders.
• Build effective multi-agency relationships—coordinate with social care, health, and authorities.
• Promote attendance, wellbeing and inclusion—support initiatives across the academy.
• Train and support staff—provide safeguarding guidance and training to colleagues.
• Contribute to academy operations and compliance—support audits, policy implementation and safeguarding development.
