Job summary

Star Academies in Blackpool, Lancashire, is seeking a proactive Safeguarding Manager to lead welfare and protective work across our academy. You’ll coordinate responses with pupils, families and external agencies to safeguard vulnerable learners and promote a safe school environment.

The role requires strong organisational skills, effective communication and the ability to write clear reports; you''ll work within a values-driven multi-academy trust committed to improving life chances.

Qualifications

  • Valid Named Person Child Protection Training.
  • Experience managing relationships with pupils, parents and Children’s Social Care and other key agencies.
  • Experience of completing referrals to Children’s Social Care, Early Help, CSE Risk Assessments, Drug & Alcohol Team or similar agencies.
  • Experience monitoring and creating interventions for at-risk pupils.
  • Ability to write effective and detailed safeguarding reports.

About Highfield Leadership Academy

is a state-of-the-art secondary school for 11 to 16 year olds in Blackpool. We joined Star Academies in 2016 and, like all Star schools, we have a leadership specialism.

The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and technical skills. You will have the ability to problem solve and provide excellent customer service to our community.

You will have
