Job summary

Alleyn’s School in Dulwich, South London, is seeking an experienced safeguarding professional to join as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL). The role requires calm, highly organized leadership in complex safeguarding environments, working with the pastoral team to uphold robust safeguarding practices.

The post is on-site, either part-time (four days per week) or full-time, term-time plus four weeks, with immediate start subject to safeguarding checks.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding in statutory or specialist settings.
• Ability to operate with authority and clarity in complex safeguarding environments.
• Willingness to undergo child protection checks and DBS clearance.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced safeguarding professional from a statutory or specialist safeguarding background. We are looking for someone calm and highly organised who can operate with authority and clarity in complex safeguarding environments.

The postholder will be formally designated a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) under the statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE), working alongside our skilled and well resourced pastoral team to uphold robust, consistent safeguarding practice throughout the school.

This is an on-site role at Alleyn’s School in Dulwich, South London, offered on a part time basis (4 days per week) or full time basis, term time only plus 4 weeks. This is a permanent role with an immediate start, subject to completion of safeguarding checks.
