Job summary

Chorley New Road Primary Academy, part of Albany Learning Trust, invites applications for an experienced Designated Safeguarding Lead, Attendance & Welfare Lead. The role provides strategic and operational leadership for safeguarding and attendance across the academy.

You will work with families, staff and external agencies, ensuring the highest standards of child protection, welfare and attendance, while leading on wellbeing and safeguarding across the school community.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
• Extensive safeguarding knowledge and experience.
• Understanding the link between safeguarding, attendance, wellbeing and achievement.
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Resilient, compassionate and highly organised.
• Experience working with external agencies and multi-agency professionals.
• Ability to challenge, support and inspire others.
• Commitment to every child having the best start in life.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for safeguarding across the academy.
• Lead attendance and pupil welfare, delivering targeted support and building relationships with families.
• Ensure highest standards of child protection and welfare are maintained.
