Job summary

Eden School is seeking a Safeguarding & Attendance Officer to start as soon as possible on a term-time only permanent contract.

Salary is from £25,568 to £29,128 per annum. You will develop safeguarding procedures, support attendance and work with the Pupil Support Team to help pupils achieve their potential.

Experience working with pupils in education or social care and knowledge of safeguarding requirements are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with pupils in an education or social care setting.
• Excellent knowledge of Safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).
• Experience of working with external agencies and making formal referrals.
• Ability to relate to young people and advise staff on safeguarding strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain safeguarding procedures with support from the DSL.
• Undertake responsibilities of a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).
• Support school attendance and help pupils achieve.
• Work with the Pupil Support Team to support pupils in school.
