Job summary

Sir Edmund Hillary Academy LEAD. Academy is seeking a Safeguarding & Attendance Manager to start 1 June 2026. This permanent role for 37 hours per week is term-time plus 2 weeks, with a pro‑rata salary around £32,187.38 and NJC points 23–28. Based at Kingsway, Worksop.

You will bring safeguarding/attendance experience, knowledge of statutory policies, and ability to work with families and external agencies to support pupils’ outcomes. DBS checks apply and training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

  • 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4-9) or equivalent (essential)
  • Relevant safeguarding qualification and/or training (essential)
  • Safeguarding/Prevent qualification or willing to work towards (desirable)
  • Current First Aid qualification (or willing to work towards) (desirable)
  • Educated to a minimum of level 3 (desirable)
  • High level of oral and written communication skills (essential)
  • Able to use MS Office programs particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and be familiar with other bespoke databases (essential)
  • Able to work to tight deadlines, managing and prioritising time effectively (essential)
  • Previous experience in a similar role (essential)
  • Experience of working in a school or academy trust environment (essential)
  • Have a positive attitude to personal development and training (essential)
  • Have an openness to learning and change (essential)
  • Be able to work in ways that promote equality of opportunity, participation, diversity and responsibility (essential)

Qualifications
