Job summary

Dorset HealthCare is seeking a dedicated Safeguarding Advisor to join the Dorset Integrated Urgent Care Service (DIUCS) Safeguarding Team, delivering safeguarding advice to frontline staff and supporting risk identification and staff welfare.

The role spans safeguarding adults, children and Young People, with opportunities to develop training programs, collaborate with partner agencies, and contribute to service transformation. An enhanced DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding adults and/or children is required.
• Ability to deliver education and training in safeguarding.
• Strong communication and collaborative working skills.

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated professional? We are looking for a Safeguarding Advisor to join our Dorset Integrated Urgent Care Service (DIUCS) Safeguarding Team.

This is an opportunity to build, consolidate and develop your safeguarding knowledge and expertise working across Safeguarding Adults, Children & Young People's agendas. We are looking for a dedicated professional (General Nursing, Mental Health Practitioner or Learning Disability Nurse, Social Worker, Police or Allied Health Professional) with experience and working knowledge of safeguarding children and/or adults.

You will maintain high standards of professional care and practice and demonstrate excellent team work, including good communication and leadership skills. Under the guidance of the IUCS (Integrated Urgent Care Service) Quality Assurance Lead you will be strengthening the delivery of safeguarding practices across IUCS. We will offer you support and continual professional development to carry out your role effectively.

This is a permanentfull time opportunity within the Dorset IUCS Safeguarding Team. Part time applications are welcome with a minimum requirement of 15 hours per week. Flexible hours available with weekday, evening and weekend working included. Rota will be agreed at interview to include one weekend a month.
