Job summary

Whittington Health is seeking a Safeguarding Adult Advisor on a 6-12 month secondment to support the Safeguarding Adults Lead in designing, delivering, and evaluating staff education and training across services. You will provide specialist advice aligned with safeguarding policies and assist with QA processes and mandatory training monitoring.

The post requires a registered health and/or social care professional with a strong background in safeguarding, knowledge of DoLS, and experience

Qualifications

• At least 3 years Band 6 experience.
• Educated to degree level in health or social care or clinical education related subject.
• Post registration qualification in safeguarding.
• Teaching qualification or equivalent (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Support the Safeguarding Adults Lead in the design, delivery and evaluation of education and training programmes for Whittington Health employees which reflect best practice in safeguarding and ensure accessibility to all relevant staff.
• Provide specialist knowledge, advice and practice to Trust staff consistent with the requirements of Whittington Health Safeguarding Adult policy, local Safeguarding Adult Boards, and other relevant NHS England's safeguarding adult policies, procedures, guidelines and Care Quality Commission standards.
• Assist in the development of quality assurance frameworks ensuring compliance with statutory record keeping and documentation requirements.
• Monitor compliance with mandatory safeguarding training in conjunction with the learning and development team.
