Job summary

Blackburn with Darwen Council is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Social Worker to deliver and lead high quality care within the Safeguarding Adults Team. You will champion person-centred practice and promote the council’s vision and priorities with staff, partners and residents.

The post holder will be registered with Social Work England, hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for regular travel to appointments and visits.

Qualifications

• Registered Social Worker with Social Work England.
• Valid UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional social work advice and guidance across a range of teams.
• Coordinate team learning activities and partnership delivery, including safeguarding reviews.
• Promote independent living, dignity and respect for people receiving services.
• Support and supervise social workers with complex cases and joint work when required.
• Collaborate with multi-professional, multi-agency partners to achieve best practice outcomes.
