  • Accredited SACT qualification and/or UKONS SACT Passport.
  • Experience administering chemotherapy and intravenous therapies.
  • Competence in venepuncture, cannulation, and central venous access device management.
  • Oncology experience with the ability to manage a complex patient caseload.
  • Strong clinical judgement, communication, and organisational skills.

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) and supportive care.
  • Provide specialist advice and support to patients and their families from diagnosis through treatment.
  • Manage a caseload of oncology patients, acting as a key worker throughout their pathway.
  • Undertake patient assessments, care planning, and evaluation of treatment outcomes.
  • Work closely with Consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Demonstrate expertise in venepuncture, cannulation, CVAD management, and chemotherapy administration.
  • Recognise and manage treatment-related complications, including extravasation, anaphylaxis, and neutropenic sepsis.
  • Participate in oncology telephone triage services.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and promote best practice across Cancer Services.
