Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust in the Cancer Centre is recruiting a dedicated SACT nurse to join the wider team. You will safely deliver chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted treatments, ensuring patient safety at every step.

You will perform venepuncture, cannulation and central line access, assess patient conditions, communicate clearly with patients and relatives, and document accurately using electronic prescribing systems.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver SACT & supportive cancer treatments
• Perform clinical actives such as venepuncture, cannulation & access central lines
• Assess & interpret, acute and other patient conditions, initiate actions as appropriate
• Communicate, professionally , clear and concise with patients & their relatives
• Use electronic prescribing systems
• Take responsibility for concise documentation

Job description
