Job summary

Sport Aberdeen is seeking an Active Schools Coordinator to drive participation in sport across Northfield ASG in Aberdeen. You will design and lead an engaging extracurricular programme, recruit and mentor volunteers, and connect school activity to local clubs.

The role requires strong project management, a passion for improving young people’s lives, and the ability to build lasting relationships with school staff and community partners.

As an Active Schools Coordinator, you will play a key role in increasing participation in sport and physical activity across the Northfield Associated School Group (ASG) in Aberdeen. This includes the secondary school and its feeder primary schools, providing you with the opportunity to make a real impact across the whole school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and coordinate a diverse and engaging extracurricular sport and physical activity programme
• Recruit, support, and develop volunteers and young leaders
• Create pathways from school sports to local sports clubs and community groups
• Support young people from priority groups to participate in activities
• Work collaboratively with school staff, local partners, and community organisations
