Job summary

Lancashire Constabulary is seeking a dedicated NDORS Trainer to join our Safer Roads Unit NDORS Team. You will deliver high-quality educational programmes as part of the NDORS, with opportunities to train new staff and update on scheme requirements. The role focuses on improving road safety across Lancashire and requires a professional teaching qualification and relevant NDORS licensing.

Qualifications

• Nationally recognised teaching qualification in delivering training or equivalent in delivering behavioural programmes for adults.
• Licence as an NDORS trainer or willingness to complete training within 3 months of appointment.
• Experience of providing training and strong knowledge of the Highway Code.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and monitor practical course delivery for NDORS and other driver safety schemes in Lancashire.
• Instruct new trainers on NDORS courses where qualified.
• Attend NDORS monitoring training and update sessions when required.

Job description

Lancashire Constabulary is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic NDORS Trainer to join our Safer Roads Unit NDORS Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving road safety across Lancashire by delivering high-quality educational programmes as part of the National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS).

Key Responsibilities

• To deliver and monitor practical course delivery in respect to the National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS) and other driver safety schemes in Lancashire to meet organisational demand ensuring content complies with NDORS requirements where applicable.
• To instruct new trainers on NDORS courses where appropriate qualification in place.
• To attend NDORS monitoring training and update sessions when required.

Skills And Experience

• Nationally recognised teaching qualification in delivering training or equivalent in delivering behavioural programmes for adults. E.g. Award in Education and Training, Post Graduate Certificate in Education, City and Guild awards in training and development/ teaching and supporting learners, awards in teaching in Further Education or Higher Education sector
• Licenced NDORS trainer or agree to complete necessary training to become a licenced NDORS trainer within 3 months of appointment
• Experience of providing training.
• Excellent knowledge of the Highway Code and ability to make reference to the Highway Code.
• The ability to challenge attitudes constructively, including when people are resistant to change

Vetting And Medical

Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
