We have an exciting opportunity for a highways engineer to join Herefordshire’s Infrastructure Delivery Team. Forming part of the Economy and Environment department, the Infrastructure Delivery Team is a multi-skilled engineering, design and project management team focused on the delivery of highways and transport projects.
As the S106 Highways Engineer, you will be responsible for working with local parish and town councils to develop and plan S106 highway works. You will also project manage these works from commissioning and overseeing detailed design through to procuring contractors and supervising delivery on site. This role involves managing stakeholder expectations, as well as coordinating with design consultants and contractors on the ground.
The successful candidate will hold at least an HNC or HND in civil engineering with significant experience in developing and delivering minor traffic calming schemes and other highway infrastructure projects. Demonstrable achievements in public sector development, design, procurement, and delivery of highway projects are essential.
