Job summary

Leonardo is seeking an SAP Transformation Lead in the United Kingdom to drive a multi-year upgrade of the SAP landscape from an Operations perspective. You will own end-to-end processes, define the upgrade strategy, and align SAP with PLM and MES to support manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain workflows within a regulated defence environment.

You will lead technical design, data migration, and governance while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity and export controls.

Qualifications

• Experience leading major SAP upgrade or S/4HANA transformation programmes in Operations.
• Knowledge of SAP modules PP, PE, MM, WM, QM and SD & FI/CO.
• Integration with PLM and MES environments.
• Strong cybersecurity, configuration control and compliance understanding.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end upgrade of SAP from an Operations viewpoint.
• Define and manage upgrade strategy: scope, deployment, risk, resources.
• Lead technical assessment, solution design, data migration, cutover planning.
• Ensure operational processes, custom code and integrations are mapped or redesigned.
• Develop a multi-year SAP operations technology roadmap aligned with defence compliance.
• Identify opportunities for standardisation, automation, and new SAP capabilities.
• Define governance for enhancements and change control.
• Serve as SAP interface with PLM and MES teams.
• Design and own SAP-PLM-MES integration strategy for workflows.
• Ensure BOM alignment, configuration management, and traceability including secret parts.
• Champion end-to-end digital thread across Operations.
• Ensure compliance with defence regulations, cybersecurity, export controls, and audit.
• Establish documentation and configuration controls.
