Job summary

iome in the United Kingdom is seeking a talented Rust engineer to shape the future of Midnight’s products and technology. The Rust engineer will focus on building and maintaining high-performance data pipelines and components within the Midnight Indexer.

The successful candidate will have expertise in Rust and backend services, with opportunities for growth across the Midnight platform. Key competencies including API design and database management will be vital for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and maintaining high-performance systems in Rust.
• Experience with blockchain technology is a plus.
• Experience in remote work and collaboration across different time zones.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the Indexer’s components in Rust.
• Build and maintain the data pipeline that fetches blocks and transactions.
• Design efficient schemas and queries across PostgreSQL and SQLite.
• Evolve the GraphQL API with care for the wallet model.
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Own operational quality for the service and participate in code reviews.

Skills

Strong, idiomatic Rust
