What will you do?
You will play and test the games, focusing on identifying linguistic bugs and reporting them accurately using bug databases. Clear communication in English is essential for effective collaboration across global teams.
What would you do at work?
- Ensure games and applications provide the best user experience by being linguistic bug-free.
- Check in-game text for linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness.
- Follow Universally Speaking's LQA process and standards, optimized over years to be industry-leading.
- Use bug databases to write detailed reports that highlight your attention to quality.
- Take ownership of bugs to ensure they are fixed and correctly implemented.
- Become an LQA Expert across various projects, with opportunities for specialization.
- Create, manage, and execute test cases throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in gathering testing requirements with developers to ensure comprehensive testing.
- Identify ways to improve processes, take ownership of additional activities, and increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with the QA team effectively.

Requirements
You are a great match if you:
- Are an expert in Russian.
- Have proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Are passionate about video games.
- Are a team player, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Are proactive, persistent, and enthusiastic.
- Have a keen eye for detail and focus on quality.
- Are proficient with computers, including MS Office Suite and database handling.
- Have the Right to Work in the UK.
It’s useful if you have some of the following skills, but we can teach you:
- Experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading.
- Experience with LQA software tools, including test case management and text editing tools.
- Knowledge of CAT tools like MemoQ.
- Understanding of the video game industry and trends.
- Higher degree in linguistics (desirable but not essential).
