What will you do?

Play and test games thoroughly. Be proactive and meticulous in testing. As a perfectionist, identify linguistic bugs and report them using bug databases, communicating clearly in English across global boundaries.

What would you do at work?

• Ensure games and applications provide the best user experience by being linguistically bug-free.
• Check in-game text for linguistic accuracy, correctness, and cultural appropriateness.
• Follow Universally Speaking’s LQA process and standards, optimized over years to be industry-leading.
• Use industry-standard bug databases to write detailed bug reports, demonstrating trustworthiness and care for game quality.
• Own the bug fixing process, ensuring issues are resolved and correctly implemented.
• Become the LQA expert across various projects, with areas of specialization.
• Create, manage, and execute test cases throughout the project lifecycle, including documentation and reporting.
• Collaborate with developers during test requirement gathering to support all project features.
• Seek continuous improvement, ownership, and efficiency in your work processes.
• Work cooperatively with the QA team.

• Quality, velocity, and accuracy of bug reports.
• Team collaboration and communication.
• Ongoing improvement in LQA workflow and techniques.

Requirements

You are a great match if you:

• Are an expert in Hungarian.
• Have proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Are passionate about video games.
• Are a team player, capable of working under pressure within tight deadlines.
• Are proactive, persistent, and enthusiastic.
• Have a keen eye for quality and detail.
• Are proficient with computers, including word processing, database handling, and MS Office.
• Have the right to work in the UK.

It’s really useful if you have some of the following, but if not, we can teach you:

• Previous experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading.
• Experience with LQA software tools (test case management, text editing).
• Knowledge of CAT tools (MemoQ).
• Understanding of the video game industry and trends.
• Higher degree in linguistics (desirable but not essential).
