Job summary

The practice nurse post at Fenny Compton Surgery is a part-time role serving rural communities across Fenny Compton and Shenington. You will perform routine care, organise nursing services, and run immunisation and cytology clinics under GP direction. Experience in baby and travel immunisations and diabetes management is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold NMC registration and be currently registered to practice.
• Experience with baby and travel immunisations and cytology is essential.
• Ability to manage chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care under GP direction.
• Organise nursing services and delegate tasks to nursing staff.
• Run clinics including cytology, travel and childhood immunisations.
• Manage chronic disease care, especially diabetes and CHD.
• Perform venepuncture and wound care, ECGs, and basic procedures.
• Refer to GPs as appropriate and follow clinical protocols.
