Job summary

NCIC in Carlisle is recruiting a Community Children's Speech and Language Therapist (Band 6) to join the paediatric team covering North Cumbria. You will work with pre-school and school-age children with speech, language and communication needs, in clinics, schools and community settings.

You will collaborate with families, other professionals and agencies to promote health and reduce inequalities, with a focus on delivering high quality, person-centred care in the heart of the community.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy approved by the RCSLT.
• Registered with HCPC.
• On-going membership with the RCSLT.
• Evidence of post-graduate level training or ongoing study.
• Experience in paediatric SLT services and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide SLT service for pre-school and school-age children referred to the service.
• Promote health and reduce inequalities for children, families and communities.
• Work as part of the integrated paediatric team to ensure high-quality care.
• Accept a delegated caseload and deliver interventions in clinics, schools and centres.
• Collaborate with families and supporting agencies.
