About the pub Barley Newport is a welcoming local pub, providing a premium food and drinks range that combines a quality pub atmosphere, live sports and social events. A full refurbishment of this pub is planned to help you drive trade. Applicants should be aware that all
refurbishments are subject to final board approval which will be determined as part of the leasing process. Located on the high street in the Shropshire market town of Newport, the pub benefits from a prominent position at the heart of a busy area with a vibrant hospitality scene. Around 6,355 adults live within a 10-minute walk of the pub, rising to 12,405 within a 20-minute walk. The surrounding area has a wide-ranging demographic across all age groups, including a strong student population during term time due to the nearby agricultural colleges. Barley Newport's large footprint and different trading zones will give it the flexibility to appeal to customers throughout the day, from breakfast, coffee and lunch through to after-work drinks and higher-tempo evening events. The offer The food currently makes up 24% of the pub's total sales. Trade is driven through an all-day food and drink offer, including breakfast, coffee and lunch, alongside after-work drinks, live sport and
