Job summary

KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions Ltd in St Ives, Cornwall, seeks an Electronics Engineer to join a team building rugged electronics for demanding environments. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and quality-control existing systems, gaining knowledge from an experienced engineer while working across digital and analogue electronics with an emphasis on analogue nuance.

This is an on-site, hands-on opportunity to influence real-world products.

Qualifications

• Solid grounding in digital and analogue electronics.
• Experience with PCB design and layout.
• Familiar with I2C, SPI, UART serial communications.
• PIC development experience is a bonus.
• Exposure to closed-loop radio comms (e.g. LoRa) is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, maintaining, and quality-controlling existing electronic systems.
• Building deep working knowledge of established products through handover from an experienced Electronics Engineer.
• Working across digital and analogue systems with a focus on analogue nuance.
• Supporting PCB-level and serial communications work as part of day-to-day engineering.
