Morgan Hunt UK Limited is seeking a Rugby League Coach for a Further Education College in Greater Manchester. You will plan and deliver training, monitor student performance and contribute to academic and personal growth in a dynamic college rugby league program.

Responsibilities include coordinating match days, managing fixtures, keeping records, and ensuring safeguarding and safety policies are followed, with regular contact to the Curriculum Manager about progress.

• Plan and deliver high-quality rugby league training sessions (Mon Tue Thu or Fri afternoons), ~3 hours per session.
• Monitor and support student performance, behaviour and development.
• Contribute to curriculum objectives and student development standards.
• Organise match day activities on Wednesday afternoons, team prep and fixture coordination.
• Maintain records and complete administrative tasks.
• Promote safeguarding, health and safety policies and a safe environment.
• Communicate progress with Curriculum Manager on student progress.

Job Title: Rugby League Coach

Salary: £25-35 pound per hour

As a Rugby League Coach at a Further Education College in Greater Manchester, you will play a crucial role in developing and mentoring student-athletes. This position involves planning and delivering high-quality training sessions, monitoring student performance, and contributing to their academic and personal growth. You will be part of a dynamic team within a further education environment, promoting sportsmanship and teamwork and working with the academy

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality rugby league training sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday or Friday afternoons (flexible schedule), providing approximately three hours of coaching per session.
• Monitor and support student performance, behaviour and development both on the field and within the classroom.
• Contribute to wider curriculum objectives, ensuring student-athletes meet expected academic and personal development standards.
• Organise and oversee all match day activities on Wednesday afternoons, including team preparation, player management and fixture coordination.
• Manage and arrange fixtures within elite college rugby league competitions.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation, including registers and associated administrative tasks.
• Adhere to all safeguarding, health and safety, and student welfare policies, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
• Maintain regular and effective communication with the Curriculum Manager regarding student progress, attendance, performance and programme standards.
• Promote high expectations, professionalism and a positive sporting culture across the rugby league programme.

Essential Requirements

• Experience working within the professional rugby league game.
• Relevant Rugby League coaching qualifications.
• Strong understanding of player development and performance pathways.
• Knowledge of safeguarding requirements and best practice within an educational setting.
• Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and positively influence young people

Education Requirements

• Relevant coaching qualifications (e.g., Rugby league Level 2 or higher).
• DBS on the update service is required.

Experience Requirements

• Previous experience coaching in an educational or youth sports environment in Rugby League.
• Experience in player management and fixture coordination.
