Job summary

GI Group is recruiting on behalf of its Southampton client for an Assembler to support operations during a busy period. This temporary ongoing role involves producing and finishing rubber components for business customers.

As an Assembler you will trim, cut and de-flash moulded rubber components, use precision hand tools, inspect parts for defects, and meet productivity targets while maintaining high quality and attention to detail. Weekly pay and PPE procedures apply.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling small-component products requiring good hand-eye coordination and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Trim, cut and de-flash moulded rubber components, removing excess material and rough edges.
• Use precision hand tools to produce a consistent, quality finish to spec.
• Inspect parts for defects, dimensions and finish; record checks and elevate issues to supervisors/quality.
• Meet productivity targets while maintaining high attention to detail.
• Follow PPE, health & safety and quality procedures; keep the work area clean and organised.
• Check and update work orders on a PC.
• Carry out quality checks/inspections
• Safe, competent use of hand tools (scalpels, files, scissors)
• Reliable with consistent attendance and timekeeping
