Job summary

Gi Group in Ruislip is seeking an assembler/inspector to join the Quality Team. This entry-level shopfloor role focuses on basic assembly and self-inspection to ensure parts meet defined standards, following clear procedures with minimal decision-making. You'll use basic measurement tools, report defects, keep a clean, safe working area, and support Quality Inspectors as needed.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm, and pay is £13 per hour. There is no direct customer interaction.

Qualifications

• Basic assembly skills and ability to follow standard procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and careful workmanship.
• Good numeracy and measurement understanding for quick checks.
• Able to work with clear work instructions and assemble parts.
• Team player willing to learn and support the Quality team.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic assembly tasks in line with work instructions.
• Conduct self-inspection of assembled parts against specifications.
• Carry out simple measurements using rulers and gauges.
• Follow SOPs and quality standards at all times.
• Identify and report defects to Supervisors/Quality Inspectors.
• Support Quality Inspectors with basic inspection tasks when required.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
