Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks an data analyst to support the 18 Weeks RTT pathway analysis and data quality across the Trust. You will validate RTT data, extract pathway information, and escalate risks to compliance while collaborating with clinical and management teams.

This role requires experience in data analysis, administration, and team-based work, with proficiency in Bi Portal, Prism, and GI Tool.

Responsibilities

• Assist with improvement and developments in the timely capture of sound and accurate data across the Trust.
• Complete daily validation of 18 Weeks/RTT PTL database, update QCPR and identify and escalation risks to compliance.
• Validate 18 weeks breaches for admitted and non-admitted patients and update QCPR accordingly.
• Extract pathway information from clinical correspondence in shared electronic folders and on ALMA, Evolve, and Bluespiers or in paper notes.
• Use of appropriate computer packages including Bi Portal, Prism, GI Tool, to extract data for analytical purposes.
• Elevate inaccuracies, inconsistencies and gaps in RTT data collection.
• Action validation/exception reports as appropriate ensuring pathway information is obtained, corrected and issues escalated as required.
• Ensure all information relating to the patient RTT pathway is communicated effectively and by the most appropriate medium
• Promote the understanding of the current 18 weeks RTT measures and standards.
• Escalate to senior staff all risks to potential breaches of RTT pathways identified as a result of analysis.
• Assist in the collection of data for audit purposes and support management teams to identify areas that require pathway improvements.
• Assist in ensuring that the working practices within the team effectively support achievement of the 18 week RTT measures and standards.
• Fulfil above functions by the efficient use of computerised systems, email and manual systems.
• Audit the effectiveness of procedural documentation to ensure practice matches procedure.
• Continual evaluation of the effectiveness of own work streams and their agreed timescales.
• Participate in planned rotation between sites as necessary.
• Take an active role in Team Meetings as required.
