Job summary

DAC Planning Ltd is an award-winning consultancy recruiting a RTPI Chartered Town Planner. We seek a motivated, collaborative professional to work on a diverse portfolio for local authorities and public bodies across the UK.

You will contribute to local plan production, policy drafting, examination support, and neighbourhood planning while benefiting from a flexible hybrid model (Colchester office/home) and ongoing CPD through the Planning Academy. Applications encouraged early.

Qualifications

• You hold RTPI Chartered status.
• You have a proven track record of high-quality planning work (ideally with some planning policy or Local Plan experience).
• You are a self-motivated, collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
• You have the right to work in the UK. (We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role).

Responsibilities

• Local Plan production, policy drafting, and examination support
• Delivering training through our dedicated service, @The Planning Academy
• Neighbourhood planning, research projects, and appeals
