Job summary

NHS Highland invites applications for a trainee Specialist Practitioner District Nurse based in Inverness East. The role supports you through the PG/Dip/MSc Advanced Practice District Nursing over 2 years, with placements in Dingwall or Nairn as required and study leave provided.

You will work 36 hours across 7 days (8am–6pm) including public holidays, must be on the NMC Register and have 3 years of community nursing experience to progress to a higher level of practice.

Annex 21 Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a trainee Specialist Practitioner District Nurse within the East Inverness District Nursing Team.

The post holder will be provided with support, study leave and course fees to complete the PG/Dip/MSc Advanced Practice District Nursing over 2 years through Robert Gordon University.

The post holder will be based in Inverness East but there is a requirement to undertake placements out with the area to either Dingwall or Nairn.

The successful applicant will be expected to work 36 hours between the hours of 8am to 6pm over 7 days including Public Holidays.

You must be on the NMC Register and have a minimum of 3 years community nursing experience and be able to demonstrate community nursing skills, leadership, interpersonal and motivational skills as this is a development post building on existing knowledge, skills and competencies to achieve a higher level of practice.
