• Oversee contractors and service providers to ensure performance.
• Build strong relationships with clients, occupiers and stakeholders.
• Coordinate planned preventative maintenance and reactive works.
• Investigate and resolve property-related issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records and up-to-date compliance documentation.

Roving Facilities Manager

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Roving Facilities Manager to support the management of a diverse portfolio of commercial properties. This is an exciting opportunity for a facilities management professional who enjoys variety, thrives in a dynamic environment, and can confidently manage multiple sites while delivering exceptional service to clients and occupiers. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring properties are operated safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all statutory requirements. As a portfolio-based position, regular travel between sites is required, and flexibility to support properties across a broad geographic area is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day facilities management operations across a multi-site property portfolio.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and statutory obligations.
• Lead risk management activities, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks.
• Undertake regular property inspections and audits to maintain high operational standards.
• Manage service charge budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting, expenditure control, and reporting.
• Oversee the delivery and performance of contractors and service providers.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, occupiers, and key stakeholders.
• Coordinate planned preventative maintenance and reactive works across the portfolio.
• Investigate and resolve property-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure accurate records are maintained and all compliance documentation is up to date.

Experience & Skills

• Proven experience within a Facilities Management role, ideally managing multiple properties.
• Demonstrable experience in risk management and health and safety compliance.
• Strong service charge budget management experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise a varied workload.
• Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving capability.
• Experience within a managing agent environment is desirable.
• Willingness to travel regularly as required across the property portfolio.
• Full UK driving licence.

Education & Qualifications

• NEBOSH qualification (essential).
• Relevant Facilities Management qualification or professional membership (IWFM or equivalent) is desirable.
• Strong working knowledge of current health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
