Job summary

Archer UK is actively recruiting Roughnecks for offshore roles in the North Sea, based out of Dyce with a 3/3 rotation on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will support the Driller, Assistant Driller and Derrickman while handling drilling operations, rig maintenance and safety checks to ensure efficient and professional task execution.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Roughneck offshore role in the North Sea.
• BOSIET or FOET with CA-EBS.
• MIST.
• OPITO Working at Height level 2.
• OEUK Medical.
• Passenger Shoulder Measurement.
• Right to work in the UK essential.

Responsibilities

• For the safety of everyone on the drill floor and surrounding areas.
• Shale Shaker or Mud Processing areas.
• Physical condition of areas and equipment, planned inspections and relevant documentation.
• Perform tripping operations (drill strings, BHA, casings, liners, completions) using rig floor handling equipment as appropriate.
• Assist with routine maintenance on the rig equipment.
• Maintain all tools in a clean and safe condition and ensure the return of equipment to its correct place (slips, elevators, safety clamps, rotary tongs).
• Maintain the rig floor, sub-structure and associated areas in a clean and tidy condition.
• Assist and relieve the Derrickman, as required, inclusive of mixing fluids.
• Assist in picking up and laying down tubulars and equipment.
• Assist in rigging up equipment for the specialist service companies.
• Under the supervision of the Driller, maintenance of derrick equipment.
• Assist in the installation and movement of BOP and other wellhead equipment.
• Carry out shaker house duties in accordance with work programme to include changing out of shaker screens as directed by Mud Engineers, Assistant Driller, Derrickman.
• Monitor the fluid returns at the shakers and report changes in size, shape and volume of cuttings to the Driller.
• Take fluid weight and viscosity checks logging them and reporting any anomalies to the Driller.
• Maintain the shaker deck log book accurately and up to date, and use as the basis for handing over to the relief.
• The handover of ongoing tasks to back-to-back Roughneck.

Archer is currently actively recruiting for back to back Roughnecks to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.

We will be supporting our client by deploying a new buildcompactworkover rig to support the P&A activities on their asset. Thisis an exciting opportunity to be involved in the newbuild compact workover rig throughout the manufacture, testing, mobilisation and operations. This will include supporting offshore operations to reinstate existing platform systems and prepare the platform to integrate the compactworkover rig onto the platform.

The Rougneck will assist Driller, Assistant Driller and Derrickman, as required to ensure tasks are undertaken safely, efficiently and professionally.

The successful candidates will work in the North Sea out of Dyce on a 3/3 rotation.
