Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team at Royal Stoke. This rotational role offers exposure to a range of services, including EPMA implementation and medicines optimisation, with training and development opportunities.

We value teamwork, accuracy and a proactive approach, and you will work across wards and the dispensary to support safe, effective patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Services or equivalent qualification.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Experience in hospital or community pharmacy settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing controlled drugs using electronic registers from automated storage cabinets.
• Providing a controlled drug top up and replenishment services to theatre areas.
• Developing experience with IT Systems including Ascribe, Automated dispensing systems & Prescription Tracking systems.
• Supporting the safe and effective management of medicines through stock control and inventory management.
• Contributing to medicines optimisation services on wards.
• Supporting the training and development of pharmacy staff.
