Job summary
University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Technician to join the rotational team at Royal Stoke and County Hospital. The role supports dispensing, stock management and medicines optimisation across wards, with training opportunities and involvement in EPMA rollout.
The post requires strong problem solving, attention to detail and the ability to work within a collaborative pharmacy team in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
- Experienced or newly qualified Pharmacy Technician.
- Trained in community pharmacy.
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with IT systems including Ascribe, automated dispensing systems and prescription tracking.
Responsibilities
- Dispensing controlled drugs using electronic registers from automated storage cabinets
- Providing a controlled drug top up and replenishment services to theatre areas
- Developing experience with IT Systems including Ascribe, Automated dispensing systems & Prescription Tracking systems
- Supporting the safe and effective management of medicines through stock control and inventory management
- Contributing to medicines optimisation services on wards
- Supporting the training and development of pharmacy staff
